Hello again, dreamers. It’s a big week, so let’s get to it. Here’s what’s in store for the week ahead:
Wide Horizon Release
At long last, my debut novel Wide Horizon will launch tomorrow on Amazon Kindle. Look for a release announcement tomorrow at 11:00 AM EST.
An epic sci-fi drama, Wide Horizon takes readers thousands of years into the future, to a point where humanity is a species in decline. New Content Coming
I’ve found preparation for Wide Horizon‘s release an all-consuming task. But with the novel dropping tomorrow, I’m looking forward to finally getting back to writing in earnest. That means new content on this site, starting this week. Later in the week, watch for a new flash fiction piece, as well as my first piece on using science in fiction, featuring fusion power and its likely impact on the future. Later this month, I’ll also be resuming my monthly short fiction. Stay tuned.
Pioneers
With Unrealized Realities and Wide Horizon out there selling, I will be refocusing my attention on my most treasured story to date. That means I’ll finally be querying Pioneers. That means revising my query letter, finalizing my synopses, and completing the final (final) revisions before converting to manuscript (again). I’ve been working with this novel for several years now, with only about eight months of that devoted to principal writing. There have been many reasons for delay: life and work getting in the way, frustration with the planned next novels in the series, and perhaps most notably trepidation borne of my initial struggles querying Wide Horizon. But the time has come. At the start of the year, I devoted myself to having Pioneers published before the end of 2022. That has to start now.
As such, I’ll be renewing my weekly #WIPWednesday posts on Wednesday. Watch for it to get an introduction to the universe I’ll be focusing my writing on for the foreseeable future.
